Shoes
Our leather and fabric shoes, traditionally known as babouche, are handmade exclusively for Atelier M by highly skilled artisans in a small leather workshop in Marrakech.
The leather we use is a soft sheep hide which is dyed by hand. Our babouche slippers are made entirely by hand and minor flaws and imperfections are characteristic of the materials and methods used, and only add to the beauty and character.
Our slippers are designed for indoor use only, and on smooth, dry surfaces. You may clean your babouche with a dry or slightly damp cloth. If a cleaner is needed please choose one specifically designed for leather and keep use of water to an absolute minimum.
Our wedge babouche maybe used out doors for light use, such as a poolside. However, for heavier use we would recommend that you add a further sole before you first wear them.
